Main purpose of role & level in the business:

To support the Organisational Development & Learning team in the provision of an efficient and effective training administration support service to the business and assisting with People team activities as required.

  • Administration of all activities relating to the Company’s training plans including co-ordinating any in-house Training and Development activities for Kainos Map and assisting with other external training coordination as required.
  • Ability to deliver in-house training as appropriate.
  • Responding to training requests, managing bookings, communicating appropriate timesheet codes, approving timesheets as required and oversight of the Learning & Development budget and escalating any issues to the budget owner.
  • Ownership of the Learning Management System, creation of courses and training staff on how to use the system.
  • Assisting with general administrative duties as required.
  • Participating as a member of the Organisational Development & Learning Team, sharing good practice and knowledge, resolving common issues and ensuring consistency.
  • Undertaking ad-hoc project work and any other delegated duties relevant to the post and/or required by the team.

Minimum (essential) requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in a training administration and coordination role preferably within the IT industry.
  • Ability to work within and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work co-operatively within a team.
  • Ability to foster strong working relationships with staff and senior management.
  • Confident in working unsupervised and on own initiative.
  • Good organisational and planning skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Flexibility to respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in the use of the Learning Management Systems, MS Office and HR Software, with strong Excel skills essential to include knowledge of formulae, mail merge and pivot tables.


  • Educated to degree level in a business-related discipline.
  • HR Generalist administrative experience.
