Our User Researchers are crucial to our projects, playing a key role in defining how each user interacts with our products and services, and that every step through every page makes sense.


We have an excellent opportunity for a Graduate User Researcher to join us. Working within our talented Experience Design capability, you will help deliver actionable user insights that help define and focus the service experience on user needs. The Graduate User Researcher is a passionate advocate of user needs based design, user centred design, and design thinking.


What you’ll do

  • Help plan, design, and conduct user research to focus the design and development on user needs
  • Contribute to the usability testing process from developing user recruitment briefs through to test moderation, analysis and report writing
  • Work very closely with insight and research teams to delivery relevant and appropriate research plans
  • Present findings and related design/business recommendations and user insights
  • Where necessary, provide rapid, lightweight sketches and scamps
  • Work with designers to design content by taking complex language and processes and making them simple to understand
  • Work with other user researchers to facilitate a consistent research approach
  • Apply knowledge in human factors, rapid ethnography, and the user-centred design process
  • You will work as part of a team to communicate with a wide range of digital delivery disciplines and talent


Who you are

  • You are a student in HCI/Usability/ Psychology related field, and will graduate in 2019
  • You have demonstrable interest in user-centered design and can show an understanding of fundamental quantitative and qualitative research concepts
  • You’re aware of basic design principles, and able to understand designs, and have the creativity to solve design problems
  • We are a customer focused business, so people with strong communication skills, who are professional, credible and open is a must.
  • We pride ourselves in doing our best and delivering to a high standard, so attention to detail and having a high-quality focus is definitely required.
  • You’ll have a flexible, "can do" attitude, with the ability to manage your own time and enthusiastic to learn
